The gathering of the Nigerian Muslims in Finland started in 2008 at an event organised by one of our brothers (Abu Idris).
In the early days, it was a gathering with main activities as monthly prayers and Eid get-together party. The gathering was aimed at teaching what is good and forbidding evil as instructed by our noble Prophet, Muhammad, May Allah be pleased with him.
By 2010, Alhamdulilah, the gathering was officially named Nigerian Muslims in Finland (NMF). From 2011, NMF officially changed the monthly prayer sessions to bi-weekly Halqaah sessions where Islamic education is given to members. Also, Eid get-together is organised to celebrate Eid-Adha and Eid-Fitri.
Alhamdulilah, the activities of the NMF community have increased to include Madrasah for the children, family symposium, youth skill acquisition, sports events, picnic and welfare visitation to members.
